The brand began as a response to the challenges of the Covid-19 pandemic. With her millinery business temporarily on hold, Cat embraced the opportunity to explore new materials and techniques. Fueled by an interest in 3D printing, Cat designed and developed groundbreaking range of tools that revolutionized how artists work with polymer clay.

Operating from the Cairns Craft Cottage, which Cat purchased in 2021, this thoughtfully refurbished space provides a professional and inviting base for business operations. It also serves as a hub for product innovation and a connection point for the creative community. 

Today, Cat leads a talented and adaptable team, including her long-time assistant Narelle, to continuously expand and refine the product range. Known for its design excellence, Kit & Co. remains a trusted choice for clay artists and jewellery designers from around the world.
